Tracy Adams
Tracy Adams is the Chief Digital & Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAIO) for Small Business Consulting
Corporation, where she drives advancements in artificial intelligence and software capabilities. With over 30
years of experience spanning startups to Fortune 500 companies, Tracy is a seasoned software expert and
innovator. She was an early employee at PlanetAll (acquired by Amazon), co-founder and COO of ArsDigita
(acquired by Red Hat), and has served as CTO or CPO at several other startups. Her software initiatives have
been central to over 10 acquisitions. At Infor, a multi-billion-dollar ERP company, she held leadership roles in
development, product management, sales, and enterprise architecture.
Tracy was a principal architect of OpenACS, an open-source platform adopted by thousands of
organizations, including Zipcar, United Way, Environmental Defense Fund, Siemens, HP, and the Los
Angeles Unified School District. She was also a founding member of the dotLRN consortium, a
collaboration between EMEA and LATAM to bring e-learning solutions to developing nations using the
OpenACS platform.
Tracy holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of
Business. Passionate about empowering future generations, she mentors startup founders and advises
GLAM (Girls Leadership Academy Meetup), teaching young women the principles of entrepreneurship.
